An independent way to top up bus card balances
busfareup is an independent online service that helps riders in Abu Dhabi add credit to a hafilat card without a trip to a station machine. We are not the operator of the hafilat network — we simply make the bus card recharge step quicker and bilingual.
What we don't do
We do not issue cards, set fares, run buses, or claim any official status. For card disputes or registration, riders use the network operator's own channels.
Where we work
Our focus is the Abu Dhabi public bus network, where the hafilat card is used. Everything on this site relates to that single task.
Why we built busfareup
Topping up at a station machine works, but it asks a rider to be in the right place, in service hours, often with cash. We wanted the simplest possible alternative: one screen, the card number, an amount, and a clear confirmation. The form reads in English and Arabic so a household can use whichever is comfortable.
We keep the service narrow on purpose. A site that tries to do everything tends to do the important thing — a fast, correct top up bus card flow — poorly. So we left out the clutter and kept the recharge front and centre.
How we handle your details
We ask only for what a top-up needs: the card number, an amount, and an optional email for a receipt. We do not store full card numbers as a profile, and we never publish or sell rider details. The privacy page explains this in plain language.
