These terms govern your use of busfareup, an independent online service for a bus card recharge of hafilat cards used on the Abu Dhabi public bus network. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who we are
busfareup is operated by Busfareup Online Services, a VAT-registered business in the UAE based in Abu Dhabi. We are an independent service and are not the operator of the hafilat network, nor are we affiliated with it. References to hafilat describe the card the service works with; they do not imply any official endorsement.
2. The service
We provide a form that lets you submit a request to add value to a hafilat card. You provide the card number and an amount; the top-up is processed and the balance is added to the card. A balance lookup, where offered, is an optional convenience and shows a sample reading only.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. You must use a payment card you are authorised to use. The service is intended for cards used within the Abu Dhabi public bus network.
4. Payments and amounts
Each top-up is between AED 5 and AED 500 and is charged in UAE dirhams. We accept Visa and Mastercard issued in the UAE. Any service fee is shown before you confirm. You are responsible for entering the correct card number; an incorrect number may delay or prevent delivery of the balance.
5. Refunds
Refunds are handled as set out in our refund policy. In short, value successfully delivered to a card and spent on travel cannot be refunded, while charges that did not result in a delivered top-up can be.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or submit card numbers you are not entitled to top up. We may decline or reverse a transaction that appears fraudulent or mistaken.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the service available at all times, though we cannot promise uninterrupted access. Processing times depend on the payment network and the transit system and are usually a few minutes.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount of the affected top-up. We are not responsible for fares, card eligibility, or decisions made by the bus network operator.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page with the date above.
