A balance lookup is an optional extra — it is not a step in the hafilat recharge. It gives a quick sample reading so you can decide whether a top-up is due.

For an exact, current figure, tap the card on any bus reader: the card stores the real balance itself. The number you enter here is used only to show the lookup and is not stored on our side.
